Piccola Cucina Estiatorio

Why This Place Matters
Italians from all over NYC come to greet the chef. I watched as the woman stopped inside and were immediately greeted with a friendly chow and a kiss on each cheek. This restaurant is warm and familia somewhere you want to go to and know you are getting great pastas and true Italian cooking. Tucked on a quiet street nearby west village, this tiny Italian estiatorio invites all diners. It conveniently pulls you into an Italian oasis transported to the small cafes in Italy.
The Experience
Attentive, friendly waiters who fill your water glass the moment they see you put it down. The atmosphere was cozy although the tables were fairly close together due to the small footprint of the restaurant.
The Food
Fantastic lasagna that melts in your mouth. Sauce is rich and filling, bread is served hot with homemade red pepper olive oil. Everything was exactly what you would expect nothing more nothing less.
The Space & Neighborhood
Cute area. Perfect for a lunch with a friend after shopping on Broadway.
One Observation
Menu primarily pasta with great specials of the day enticing people to trust the chef.
Final Take
Cute spot definitely good for catching up with a friend.
