Jing Fong

Why This Place Matters

Some restaurants are about the food others are about tradition.

On 1/31/26, we came here to celebrate my sister’s anniversary, but this wasn’t just any meal. Jing Fong has been our go-to for dim sum — a place tied to routine, family, and shared moments.

From the second you sit down, the experience begins.
“Sticky rice?”
Of course. Always yes.

Within minutes, the table fills pork buns, shrimp rice dumplings, and my personal favorite, the egg custards from the dessert cart. And just like that, you’re fully in it.

The Experience

The magic of Jing Fong is in the movement.

Servers weave through the room with carts stacked high with dumplings, buns, and small plates, offering dishes tableside. You don’t wait for a menu you choose in real time.

It’s chaotic, fast-paced, and incredibly fun.

Whether you’re with a big group or just one other person, the experience feels communal and lively a true dim sum tradition.

The Food

The food is classic, comforting, and hits exactly what you want from a dim sum spot.

The pork buns were soft and flavorful, the shrimp rice dumplings rich and satisfying, and the egg custards sweet, delicate, and always a must-order.

This isn’t about reinventing dishes it’s about delivering familiar flavors in a way that feels consistent and nostalgic.

The Space & Neighborhood

Located on Centre Street in Chinatown, Jing Fong embodies the energy of the neighborhood. The space is large, bustling, and built for volume long tables, constant movement, and a steady hum of conversation.

Final Take

Jing Fong is a place you go for the tradition as much as the food. It’s lively, chaotic, and full of life the kind of restaurant that turns a meal into a shared experience.
